Mukthisadan is located in a fast growing cosmopolitan district in Kerala named Ernakulam. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India has been supporting our organisation since 1993-94. Over thousands of people have received their toll of relief and revival through our services. The services are open to all citizens of India without distinctions of religions, cast, language or any of them for in-patients.

Brief History

Nirmal Nikethan Mukthisadan is a major voluntary organization started in 1987 for the prohibition activities and de-addiction programmes with the major objective of uplifting economically, culturally and educationally. It avows 32 years of triumphant legacy and has the clarion call of treating the deviances at physical, psychological, familial, social and spiritual domains of alcohol addicts. At first the centre started at Thripunithura, later at kalamassery and currently located at Pukkattupady. Substance abuse in women is a growing concern in India. In view of this context, we, Nirmal Nikethan Mukthisadan opened a sister concern institution for Fe-male addicts at Njalookkara in Angamaly from 1st April 2021. Women and adolescent girls who use drugs are the main target group of our female deaddiction center.

Our Team :

Medical officer (Physician), Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Counselors, Social Worker, Nurses,Vocational Trainer.

Main Objectives:

1. To perform works against alcohol and drug abuse among the members of the society and improve their health both physical and mental.

2. To conduct awareness building programs to educate ill effects of drug abuse and alcoholics including production, publication and dissemination of educative publicity materials.

3. To conduct community based counseling, guidance, de-addiction, rehabilitation, aftercare service of pay care continues for addiction.

4. To organize de-addiction camps, seminars, conferences, meetings, exhibitions, competitions for the prevention of drug abuse and alcoholism etc.
